Dr. Edmund Chein is head of the Life Extension Institute in Palm Springs, California, based on his discovery of an anti-aging procedure using human growth and other bioidentical hormones. Below, he discusses what the Institute is all about.
My Institute concentrates on two things: The first is to see how many age-related diseases are reversible using our patented method of bioidentical hormone therapy. The second is to see what side effects this procedure may have in the long run, if any, such as cancer (it has been 15 years that the first human subject was placed on the program).
Nobel Prize
The field we concentrate on was given the Nobel Prize in Medicine. It was given to the scientists who discovered telomere and telomerase. Telomere is the tail portion of human DNA that controls youth and lifespan in cells. When this region is long, the cell is healthy and young. When it is short, the cell gradually dies or gives birth (replicates) to aged-looking cells.
For example, your facial cells are actually no more than three months old. After three months, they die. We are like snakes; we just shed our skin cells. That means that the facial cells of a 90-year-old man or woman on this planet are just three months old.
Why, then, do their facial cells look so ugly, and why do the facial cells of a young child look so good? After all, if every facial cell is three months old on this planet, they should all look great. But the newly born skin cells of the old people are ugly because the telomere in the DNA of the their mother cells are short, so they would give birth to ugly-looking young daughter cells.
Enzyme to Keep Us Healthy
Telomerase, an enzyme which keeps the telomere of our DNA healthy and long, is seeking to change that. When it goes to work, it lengthens the telomere, to the point where it is capable of giving human cells immortality in laboratory conditions.
The question is, what activates the telomerase? The answer is: “bioidentical hormones” in our body. Our Institute optimizes our bioidentical hormones to activate the telomerase, which in turn lengthens the telomere – and keeps us young. We do that through our proprietary system of bioidentical hormone supplementation, for which a patent has been granted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Total Hormone Balancing Method
Our total hormone balancing method, which includes human growth hormones, can result in people looking, feeling and biologically becoming younger, eliminating age-related diseases such as wrinkling, coronary vessels blockage (heart attacks), high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obesity, impotence, and menopause.
We seek to prevent or reverse age-related diseases, which are defined as a disease which a normal healthy person did not have when they were 20. We strive to be your source for the most scientific, up-to-date, effective, and safe anti-aging therapies available.
